Advanced Aviation Training provides flight training for people taking their first step into aviation through to recreational, private and professional pilot qualifications. Training is available from Redcliffe near Brisbane and Bundaberg, with pathways through both RAAus and CASA.
You do not need previous flying experience to begin. AAT can take you from your first flying lesson through your initial solo flights and on to the licence or certificate that best suits your goals.

Which Training Pathway Is Right for Me?
Choosing the right training pathway depends on what you want to achieve from flying. Some students want an accessible recreational pathway, while others are looking for broader private flying privileges or a stepping stone towards commercial aviation.
The RAAus Recreational Pilot Certificate is well suited to recreational flying in eligible aircraft. The CASA Recreational Pilot Licence provides an entry point into the CASA licensing system, while the Private Pilot Licence offers greater flexibility for pilots who want to undertake more extensive private flying and continue towards advanced qualifications.

Learn to Fly at Redcliffe or Bundaberg
AAT provides learn-to-fly training from both Redcliffe and Bundaberg, giving students the choice of two different training environments within Queensland.
Redcliffe Airport is located in South East Queensland near Brisbane and provides students with exposure to a busy aviation environment, including controlled airspace and a wide range of surrounding aerodromes. It is well suited to students who want to develop confidence operating in a more complex environment as their training progresses.
Bundaberg offers a regional training environment with good access to uncongested airspace and navigation training areas. This can make it particularly suitable for students completing regular flying, solo consolidation and cross-country navigation training.
Students can discuss their preferred location with AAT and choose the training base that best suits their circumstances, availability and longer-term flying goals.
