AERODROME
Bundaberg is one of Australia’s best-kept secrets for flight training. Located on the Queensland coast roughly 360 km north of Brisbane, it offers excellent flying weather, uncongested airspace, modern training aircraft, and a relaxed regional lifestyle that lets you focus on learning.
RUNWAYS
The 07/25 grass strip runs roughly perpendicular to the main 14/32 runway. When winds shift to directions that would produce excessive crosswind on the main runway, the cross strip often gives a more favourable alignment, keeping training flights on schedule.
OFFICE
The Advanced Aviation Training Office is located at the Jabiru Aircraft Factory. There is an office located within the factory with easy parking available. Contact the office via phone or email before attending onsite.
FLEET
The Australian-built Jabiru J170 is the ideal first aircraft. Light, forgiving handling builds real stick-and-rudder skills, while a simple cockpit keeps you focused on flying. Its economical Jabiru engine means lower costs, and more hours in the air for your budget. Roomy, stable, and gentle to a fault, it makes learning safer, cheaper, and more fun.

Our Redcliffe and Bundaberg bases operate as one team. Experienced instructors you already know will work across both locations, joined by new staff hand-picked to grow with us. That means the same high training standard, the same familiar faces, and the same friendly culture, whichever campus you fly from.
TRAINING
We’re launching with RAAus flight training, the most affordable and accessible way to get airborne, from your first flight through to your Recreational Pilot Certificate. As we grow, GA training under CASA will follow, opening the pathway to your RPL, PPL, CPL and other ratings and endorsements. LOSS OF CONTROL
Every year in sport and general aviation, loss of control events are the single most significant contributor to serious and fatal aircraft accidents. Join us in this three-part series as we explore the critical phases of flight where loss of control occurs, we look at the primary causes, contributing factors, and we talk to real pilots, subject matter experts, and we delve into the situations and how to avoid these types of accidents.
THE AVIATOR
“The Aviator” is a heartwarming documentary film that follows the story of Bob Tait, an aviation legend who has spent a lifetime teaching others how to fly. The film chronicles Bob’s journey as he obtainS his Recreational Pilot Certificate. Along the way, we see Bob’s dedication and passion for aviation, as well as the impact he has had on generations of pilots. Through stunning aerial footage and intimate interviews, “The Aviator” celebrates the spirit of flight and the enduring legacy of one of aviation’s greatest legends.
TOUCH THE SKY
TOUCH THE SKY is a documentary series that follows women from different backgrounds across Australia. Mothers, daughters, influencers, and refugees share what it takes to overcome internal expectations and external pressures to take to the skies. Some are just beginning, others are further along, but all want to encourage more female participation in an industry they have come to love.
