Advanced Aviation Training provides professional flight training Bundaberg Airport in Central Queensland. The Bundaberg campus provides structured pathways for pilots beginning their aviation journey and progressing through recreational, private and commercial flight training.
AAT’s Bundaberg operation provides a regional training environment with dedicated training facilities and aircraft, supported by the same training standards and systems used across Advanced Aviation Training.
AERODROME
Bundaberg is one of Australia’s best-kept secrets for flight training. Located on the Queensland coast roughly 360 km north of Brisbane, it offers excellent flying weather, uncongested airspace, modern training aircraft, and a relaxed regional lifestyle that lets you focus on learning.
RUNWAYS
The 07/25 grass strip runs roughly perpendicular to the main 14/32 runway. When winds shift to directions that would produce excessive crosswind on the main runway, the cross strip often gives a more favourable alignment, keeping training flights on schedule.
OFFICE
The Advanced Aviation Training Office is located at the Jabiru Aircraft Factory. There is an office located within the factory with easy parking available. Contact the office via phone or email before attending onsite.

Our Bundaberg campus gives students access to a regional flying environment, dedicated training aircraft and instructors operating to the same AAT training standards used across our organisation.

We’re launching with RAAus flight training, the most affordable and accessible way to get airborne, from your first flight through to your Recreational Pilot Certificate. As we grow, GA training under CASA will follow, opening the pathway to your RPL, PPL, CPL and other ratings and endorsements. Jabiru Aircraft Training at Bundaberg
Advanced Aviation Training’s Bundaberg operation is based at the Jabiru Aircraft factory, giving pilots convenient access to training alongside one of Australia’s best-known light aircraft manufacturers.
AAT provides Jabiru aircraft familiarisation, transition training and flight reviews for pilots operating Jabiru aircraft. Training can be tailored to the pilot’s previous experience, aircraft model and operating requirements.
This is particularly valuable for pilots moving onto a Jabiru for the first time, returning to the aircraft after a break, or completing a flight review in the aircraft they regularly operate.
AAT is proud to support Australian-designed and manufactured Jabiru aircraft from our Bundaberg base. Jabiru Aircraft designs and manufactures its aircraft and engines locally in Bundaberg.
